Marriott Meon Valley Hotel & Country Club – Meon Course

What we say

A peaceful course and in good condition. There are some terrific par 3s. I loved the par-3 12th. You fire from an elevated tee to a green beyond a lake.

  • 4 out of 5 A tight and tree lined challenge

    By alan potter

This marriot venue is top notch golf the course is in excellent condition, the green run true with some subtle borrows, most holes are tree lined down both sides, it is very woburn like. there are some great par three's and short dog-leg par fours the 11th and 12th being my favorites. it is a long walk and quite undulating, when i go back i might have to hire a buggy. book online for best price i payed £28 and you get a voucher for a free pint of soft drink after your round. have to mark them down for the staff especially in the bar, i found them to be rude, slow and not very welcoming.

Good mature parkland course. Fairways are pretty wide however some holes are long especially off the whites.  We played in the winter and for some reason they put the yellow tees further forward then the reds! Good placement required on most shots. Greens roll true and well maintained.  Was expecting something harder for a european seniors tour venue though. Marriott Hotel and facilities also top notch.
