  • 3 out of 5 Wide open but can be enjoyable

    By Brian T

Quite thin rough 8" tall (not a bad thing in my case), some dangerous club eating bunkers (grit/stones). Some nice holes (14th is long, 15" is pretty). Don`t believe the poor photos on the web site. Fairly wide open (except the out of bounds areas). a fiar few hills to wander up but certainly playable. Most of the fairways run to the greens so can be run onto. The greens were fast when I played and some of them are stepped to cause havok for long puts. Practice green/range/chipping. 1 to 9 then cross back to clubhouse to finish 10-18. Didn`t use additional facilities but they appear to be OK.

  • 3 out of 5 Looks can be deceiving

I play here a lot as a pay and player and was considering joining as this is a great little course with wonderful drainage, fair greens and demanding rough. When the wind picks up it is a real challenge. the biggest challenge however is that they have just raised their prices to level that of neighboring Donnington Grove and Newbury and Crookham on both green fee and membership. I'm sorry team, but you have a long way to go yet before you can match those courses. Good course, nice people but just too rich compared to the competition.
