Bicester Country Club

What we say

Bicester Golf Club is set in 135 acres of beautiful Oxfordshire country side, in the M40 corridor. The golf course is complimented by 11 lakes strategically placed around the golf course, these lakes help to provide a challenge to every kind of player in the golf world.

The 18 hole golf course opens with the first hole which, with banking on the right, bunkers and a lake on the left, tunnel you to the  B shaped green with three pot bunkers and an undulating green surface.

Several new look holes will impress all those who are re-visiting and all new-comers. The two new additions to the course, the 14th and 15th holes are both tactical and need thought to negotiate. The two greens and fairways are small and stand like islands among 6 of the golf courses lakes. These new holes are some of the most challenging holes in Oxfordshire golf.

  • 4 out of 5 superb

really enjoyable course with some challenging greens, proper undulations and good pace - can set up some excellent pin positions. a lot of water, you have to think your way around, good quality bunkers - all round a great course. Yes it is close to the motorway, but that just means it's easy to get to.

I am a member at Bicester and I think the course is a huge improvement over how it was when it was Chesterton. A few greens have been moved and 2 new holes have been added. The course is very flat but it is a fair old walk around the place. Some of the holes are quite long and most are tree lined making a straight hit off the tee vital. The greens are getting better and better each year. The clubhouse and pro shop are great and the new health club is magnificent. Only things that let the place down in my opinion is the lack of driving range and the noise from the motorway. On a couple of holes you are 25 yards from the road! All in all a great value, challenging course in the area. The only courses that I find better in the area are in the £50+ a round region.
