What we say
Although it's been around since 1922, High Post remains something of a hidden gem. It's a good test and with 72 strategically-placed bunkers you really need to carefully plot your way round. You'll love the quality of the greens, the fantastic Salisbury Plain views.
With its stunning views, High Post Golf Club - named after the site of an ancient gallows - is located on the southern reaches of Salisbury Plain, close to Stonehenge and the historical cathedral city of Salisbury.
Owing to the chalk downland and free draining terrain, it is playable all year round - winter tees and greens just don't exist at High Post which has a reputation for being one of the finest downland layouts in the land.

very good course, tricky rough. Play straight.
Wonderfull course, worth the 40 mile drive, greens were very good and true, good welcome from Pro, food good..a must play,£25 for day ticket 2for1 and only dropping 18 shots over 36 holes!!
The course is a great Gem and is a dream to play. If u can keep out of all the bunkers u do better than me i think its a good test but also fair the food in the club house is good and a fair cost the Pro Shop is well stocked and the Pro very good at helping and giving advice
