What we say
A well-designed new links which rewards the shotmaker who can move the ball both ways and control trajectory in a cross-wind.
Only built in 2003, Dundonald Golf Links was built with the aim of feeling like an old classic, links course and it has definitely acheived that aim. Designed by Kyle Phillips, the architect for Kingsbarns and The Grove, Dundonald Links is already recognised as one of the better modern links courses in Europe.
With generous fairways and sloping contours, this course has already held qualifying for the Senior Open and should be a must-play for those in the area.

A challenge for all abilities wither you play off the white or hte championship tees. Not many straight puts and the greens are in great condition all year round. I have played this course summer and winter and it has been in superb condition. Cant recomend it highly enough.
A CRACKING LINKS COURSE ON THE WEST COURSE. VERY TESTING AND IF YOU SWITCH OFF, YOU WILL BE PUNISHED. STAFF ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND WELCOMING, THEY COULDNT DO ENOUGH FOR ME DURING MY VISIT. COURSE WAS IN GREAT SHAPE AND GREENS RUNNING WELL DESPITE BEING IN THE MIDDLE OF WINTER. THIS COURSE IS ONLY 5-6 YEARS OLD, AND WILL DEFINATELY GET BETTER WITH AGE. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. YOU MUST PLAY THIS COURSE WHILST VISITING AYRSHIRE.
