A flat course in the middle of the Scottish capital. Easy walking is the venue’s main plus point. There’s little trouble off the tee and you’ll cough up under £20 a round. But try and pick a dry sunny day to play, as it can be heavy going after a lot of rain.

Only ten minutes away from Edinburgh, Carrick Knowe offers a nice and easy walk around the course with no big hills or contours in the course. This parkland course is tree lined and is suitable for all golfers.
