What we say
Aberdare Golf Club was founded in 1921 as a parkland golf course at Abernant, which is about a mile from the centre of Aberdare. This picturesque 18-hole golf course is famous for its mature oak trees and was also a home golf club for one of Britain's most famous golfers Dai Rees, who was a former Ryder Cup Captain.
Aberdare can be testing for some golfers and it is certainly a very interesting and challenging golf course to play. If you have the chance to play it you will find it surprisingly beautiful with its magnificent views out over the valleys.

This review is probably going to be biased because my grandad is a member there but anyway I can never seem to play to my handicap there even when i am playing on top of my game. You need one leg basically the whole course slopes towards the town so all iron shots are below or above ball lies. The facilities aren't the best with a dungeon like pro shop but with new changing and locker rooms it is getting there. A good round to be had.
