St Mary’s Golf Club

What we say

Without doubt the 18 hole hole golf course at St Mary's Golf Club is maturing into one of the most picturesque and well conditioned golf courses in the Vale of Glamorgan. The yardage of 5291 flatters to deceive the golfer. The golf course demands more than just length, it requires a little bit of imagination to manouvre your way around, or indeed over, the mature oaks and the sultry designed bunkers and banks, not to mention the odd water hazard here and there, makes it a real test of golf.

We believe that our golf course is a fair challenge for any level of golf and more importantly a very enjoyable challenge that makes you come back again and again.

Stay & Play: Theres a 24 room hotel onsite with a three bars a restaurant, conference room and tennis courts.

I have played the 12/9 hole course quite a few times  next to the full course and always thought with just starting out myself and partner in crime would get a bit better and give the full course a go. With it being high winds and rain for 3 days I didn't think I would have a good time? how wrong I was I . The course has everything tight long holes with well kept greens and fairways (even in the welsh winter) tight water holes with trees all around you and even a hole with more sand around it than a beach. Its takes all your best shots and imagination to get around in a good solid score but you have fun doing it  I can't wait till a bit better weather where I think the wow factor would be a 5 with a bit of sun on your back..                   They have a shop for snacks and drinks to keep you going a driving range and is easy to get to from the motorway the price is fair even without the 2 fore 1 vouchers (forgot not on sat/suns)so i avised anybody too give it a go
