What we say

Just 20 minutes from J24 of the M4 and situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, Woodlake Park provides a rural and peaceful location away from the pressure and stress of everyday life. Woodlake Park offers some of the finest golf in Monmouthshire, Gwent and Southern Wales.

Set in 140 acres in one of the most beautiful areas of Gwent, Woodlake Park overlooks the spectacular Llandegfedd reservoir, the Brecon Beacons, Black Mountains and the Vale of Usk. The championship standard course has a par of 72 and standard scratch of 72. We are located just 15 minutes from Newport, home of the 2010 Ryder Cup.

The Clubhouse has two large balconies overlooking the 18th green and provides an outstanding view of the reservoir to the south west. The Spikes bar has direct access to the lower terrace and the practice putting green. The upstairs function room has a catering capacity of 130 and has its own private balcony and toilet facilities. First class changing and showering facilities are provided for both sexes.

Your Reviews

  • 3.5 out of 5 Amazing views, lightning fast greens

Played here a couple of times as a guest of members. Amazing views around the course from some of the holes. The fairways and tees were alwyas in good condition and the course played well. The greens where incredibly quick though, so I'd recommend spending a little time on the practice putting green (just through the clubhouse bar) to prepare yourself before heading out.

Good course with stunning views and supper fast greens at any time of the year. Hard to find course, so allow extra time to get lost on the way.
