Cottrell Park Golf Resort – Mackintosh Course

What we say

Cottrell Park Golf Club is a majestic setting for golf and is home to two championship 18-hole golf courses, both of which are situated in historic parkland with views across the Brecon Beacons to the Mendips over the Bristol Channel.
Each golf course offers a different challenge to all categories of golfer. The Mackintosh golf course is a 6637 yard, par 72 parkland golf course, with scores of beautiful 300-year-old trees, amazing views and playing to USGA greens.

And if the weather is dodgy you can always play indoors - the club has two golf simulators to help keep your game sharp whatever the conditions.

  • 4 out of 5 just luv it...

    By wanhusain

yeah..it is a very good course and it really challenging from me and especially my mate point of view.  Personally I would recommend this course to other's and I don't think I am wrong...beautiful course, good food too and definitely play again sometime in the future.

  • 3.5 out of 5 just as good as each other

I played the ac when I first started last year so when my Mate said half price at the button I jumped at the chance. The weather held out after days of raining so the course way in good nick for the time of year. The facilities are ok just what you need lockers, showers and driving range. I have never liked the welcome there I have played Wentworth and the belfry and never been made too fell like I am checking into some royal course just weird at Cottrell Reception, but it take nothing away from they have too good courses in Cottrell park either one is testing in all areas of the game and come the summer I think will come back with a 2 fore 1 and enjoy it a bit more with the sun on my back.

  • 2 out of 5 Very Poor

    By golfzilla

i found this course very poorly looked after. many clumps of daisies on the fairway and on green 15 the green was shockin. ive seen better grass after a game of rugby. the macintosh course is 100 times better due to them looking after it. the button course was a waste of money but luckily only paid £15 each so not bad. would not reccommend this course.

  • 3 out of 5 A good test.

A good course . Very mature trees. Very tough off the back tees. Tees and greens need to improve to make it a very good course. It has potential. I like the course.
