Headfort Golf Club

What we say

The New Course is not only the best of Headfort Golf Club’s two courses, it’s one of the best golf courses in the area.

Established in 1928, Headfort’s original course was added to in 2000 by the New – designed by Christy O’Connor.

We rate the modern track as the better of this north-west Dublin club’s two fine courses, which are routed between mature trees of various species and water features.

Tree-lined and water-laced, this old estate even throws in two islands to add some extra oomph to proceedings.

A fantastic new course set in an old demesne. Magnificent trees and water appear everywhere but these add to the aesthetics rather than the fear factor as they are in front of several tee boxes rather than around greens.

Always well maintained and a great test of every club in the bag, the short holes are especially good and the three-shot holes at 6 and 14 stand-outs.
