La Quinta Golf Resort

What we say

La Quinta Golf Resort, near Marbella, has a championship golf course feel for £53 (peak). Set amid the hills just inland from the Med, it’s in fantastic condition and tight in places. Concentrate on getting a straight tee shot away and you can score well here.

Ryder Cup star Manuel Pinero helped design the La Quinta Golf Resort layout, which opened in 1989. The resort's 27 holes make great use of the naturally muscular terrain to serve up a test of stamina as well as golf. The three nines can be played in any combination, and although no 18-hole selection is especially long, all use trees, water and traps to place a premium on accuracy.

  • 5 out of 5 Golfing Paradise

    By Griffard

Recently visited La Quinta with a party of friends as part of our newly formed Costa Del Boys annual golfing tour.  The club is basically a golfer's paradise - we were totally blown away by the amazing scenary, the immaculate condition of the course and challenging nature of the holes (we played 18 holes on courses C+A). Can't recommend this place enough and with any luck we'll be back next year. • 4 out of 5 A Truly Beautiful Course

    By Ragsy

I've played the various permutations of this course probably six or seven times and still love it. The courses meander through various exclusive villa complexes but the fairways aren't too tight and yet each of the nine hole sections will still offer a challenge to all standards of golfer. The greens were lightning quick and perfectly true to putt on - In fact they were in a far better state than those at Flamingos, Calanova (don't bother!) and La Cala (America) that I also played during my 4 day trip in June. (2007) Overall, very highly recommended and you will not be disappointed!

  • 3 out of 5 Beautiful La Quinta

Just beautiful! I could have pitched a tent on the first tee and spent my holiday looking at the view of the first hole on the B 9. If you are on your game the course could be quite rewarding, otherwise it can create a problem or two. Well manicured using the terrain quite well, good greens and overall a very enjoyable experience. Some of the surrounding "wealthy people's" villas are amazing. Good day out, well recommended.
