  • 4 out of 5 Winter Golf At Its Best

    By chrism5

We played the course as part of our annual weekend tour. The course was in great condition, and the greens superb. This is the third time we have played the course and remains a must play course on the island. We have found any course beginning with a Son is something special, and also recommend Son Muntaneer and Son Quint if the opportunity arises.

Son Vida has two courses, Son Vida the older and shorter of the two and Son Muntaner longer and by all accounts in great condition, being wider and more open ,although with copious amounts of water to contend with. It was the shorter and more strategic of the two that I played, chosen for it length because I had taken my teenage son with me to play.A great course to play as it allows midhandicappers the chance to attack the course without having to resort to the " big Dog" all the time. The course rewards strategic play as it meanders its way through and around one the prettiest developments and hotels by a golf course I have played recently.Unusually for the Ballearics there has been a fair amount of rain recently and the course looked magnificent pretty much all the way around. The ball stops well on the medium sized greens but the think that thrilled the two of us was the trueness of the roll on the greens. All in all I will definately play here again and reccomend others to include this with their mallorca Holidays.
