Blackmoor is a first-class heathland on the western edge of the sand belt which ends up in Surrey and Berkshire and hosts some of England’s finest courses. It was laid out by that heathland master, Colt, in 1913, and boasts heather-lined fairways and classic pear-shaped greens. It remains much the same as he left it nearly a century ago.
