Wentworth Golf Club – Edinburgh Course

What we say

Originally opened in 1990, Wentworth Golf Club's Edinburgh Course, designed by John Jacobs, features 4 teeing areas on each hole, ensuring all golfers will be able to play over a distance they are comfortable with. The course is built on gently undulating terrain with tree-lined fairways providing a challenging game for all levels of golfer. The design was deliberately very considerate of the wildlife around, and as a result wildlife is abundant on the grounds.

Strictly Come Dancing judge Len Goodman says:  I like going to courses where you walk in the footsteps of the legends. Mind you, the Edinburgh is my favourite course – it’s not so harsh as the West which is too tough for the likes of me. Bruce Forsyth lives on the estate and the Edinburgh is his favourite too so we always go out and play that.

all in all a good cours...not a patch on the west course next door, but a great venue none-the-less. Too pricey, but if you can wangle your way on it, you won't be disappointed... and you get the whole wentworth expericne which is something else...

before i start no i didn't pay £165 too play the wentworth as i won a 4 baler too play :) and everything i heard seen and dreamed about was right. From wales a 4 hour trip started with Irish john forgetting his shoes so running barley on time got there and waiting was the best dressed car Park attendant ever! we jump in the lavish changing rooms got changed and jumped straight on the buggies straight too the first tee, where the fun began. The fairways ,tee, greens even the rough are well looked after and are so great too play on if you win the lottery i would say join this club as it's a different world and in that world golf seems that little bit better too(pictures on profile) After the round came the shop and a drink and well i have never seen anything like it of course i bought my normal ball marker and then walked passed gold medals crystal trophies into the bar and sat down outside looking over the practise green it was a perfect end too a perfect day . we went back too work the next day with story's smiling like Cheshire cats so if you have the money DO IT.
