Co-host of ‘The Amateur’ and Men’s Home Internationals last year, Gailes Links might have the romantic stamp of Morris and Park on it but don’t expect a quirky little links if you turn up in this part of Ayrshire; it is all but 7,000 yards and they seem a very long way round when it’s breezy.
