Laid out across some part-wooded parkland, there can be no disputing the municipal course at Southend Golf Club is amongst the finest public pay and play courses anywhere in the United Kingdom. It is kept in truly wonderful condition which encourages year round play, whilst the challenges that lie in wait between some tees and pins are every bit as exciting and at times intimidating as those you will find at some private members clubs around the region.

There are plenty of mature trees scattered around here commanding your unflinching accuracy. Indeed, good course management and club selection will stand you in good stead to score well, and afterwards you can enjoy a nice refreshing drink back in the clubhouse with the friendly members.
