Rutland Water Golf Club

What we say

This relatively new venue impressively overlooks one of Europe's largest reservoirs and comprises an 18-hole layout (the Normanton), a nine-hole par-3 track and good practise facilities. The Normanton has a good mix of holes with the par-5 13th, running alongside the reservoir, the pick. Watch out for the greens - they were lightening-fast when we visited.

Rutlands Water Golf Club as two courses on offer - the main 18-hole course called the Normanton, and a Par-3 course named the Hambleton.

The main course has some breathtaking views over Rutland Water but don't be fooled by its beauty, this course has teeth!

Despite this difficulty, the friendly atmosphere around the club will ensure thatr you have an enjoyable round.

This 18 hole Championship course has to be on of the countries finest New Golf Courses, with a yardage of 6846 off the blues and challenging undulating greens it is a good test of skill for the lowest handicapper but remains a friendly pay and play course with a pleasant atmosphere.

Thoroughly enjoyed the course. It has some excellent green complexes with greens in terrific condition. A few more years of maturing will bring out a really great golf course. The 6th & 15th are wonderful holes! Great value!
