Barlborough Links Golf Club

What we say

This course is value-for-money at five pounds a round for nine holes. The fairways are in good condition but the greens are slow and patchy. There could be more bunkers around the greens.

Barlborough Links Golf Club offers a 9 hole parkland course. The course features matures trees, as well as a large lake. This course will provide golfers of any ability with a challenge.

New owners putting some serious time & effort into turning round the fortunes of this neglected & forgotten little gem. Unfortunately lack of any investment in recent times, and then the farcical situation regarding the clubhouse fire, severely damaged the reputation of this club. However it seems to be enjoying a new lease of life under its new management. Drainage & fairways are much improved, greens, tees & bunkers getting better, it's all starting to look much more like the early days here, just the problem of slow play with some early morning members to sort out, plus the addition of some basic facilities, and maybe finally making a positive decision on the often promised back 9, and it's going to a great venue for value golf in Derbyshire. Give it a chance!

Barlborough is what it is. For £7 you get a round of 9 holes of golf. The greens are actually OK and the layout is quite good. The highlight really is the finishing hole which makes its way round the lake that is central to the course. Some of the tees however were very poor possibly some of the worst I’ve played on and in the changing rooms there was a 32” TV and an old oven. I’m not sure what all that was about. Overall for£7 it’s a 9 hole knock what more can you say.
