Kingsthorpe Golf Club

What we say

One look at the scorecard sends a wry smile across your face. It’s not long and as you walk to the first tee, thoughts of a record round may be running through your head.

That soon goes out of the window! This course may not be long but it’s incredibly tight. Many holes are flanked by houses and there are bushes and trees along many of the narrow fairways, waiting to claim any errant shots.

It’s normally in pretty good nick, but can get quite busy.

The Kingsthorpe Golf Centre has a  traditional parkland golf course, designed by Colt Associates, who were responsible for the design of many famous golf courses throughout the world. These include Wentworth, Troon, Royal Lytham and many more. Although not long, its undulating terrain provides a suitable challenge for golfers of all standards, whether new or experienced! The 18th hole is considered by many to be the finest finishing hole in the county, and that is saying something! The golf course record - a mere 6-under-par - has stood for more than 20 years, so give that a go!

The club is well-known locally for its hospitality to visiting golfers.

Great quirky course with both difficult and enjoyable holes. 2 or 3 driveable par 4s but if your not driving straight par becomes a very tough task. 110 yard par 3 9th is nice break but 210 yard par 3 13th is extremely tough task. Welcome and clubhouse are great. Good enjoyable round
