The front nine of Southwell Golf Club sits in the centre of the racecourse and features the signature 7th hole, Southwell's equivalent to the 17th at Sawgrass.

On paper it looks a straightforward 132 yards par 3 but, as you know, golf isn't played on paper. You'll need all your mental strength, and a sweetly struck short iron, to avoid the stretch of water between you and the island green!

    Possible one of the best courses in Notts with both a tight opening 9 and then a parkland/tree lined back 9. Make sure you know how to navigate your ball as there is water on nearly every hole in one form or another. Condition are good and it has to be said that compared with it's local rivals it still remains the best I've played. The hidden gem.
