Worksop Golf Club

What we say

Inland golf doesn’t get much better than this, the former golfing home of former world no.1 Lee Westwood before he upped sticks to sunny Florida. You’ll discover a lot of ‘Westy’ memorabilia in the clubhouse as well an outstanding par-72 layout in tip-top condition year-round owing to its sandy base.

The Worksop Golf Club is a private members Club that was established in 1914. It also happens to be an outstanding wooded heathland golf course graced by many outstanding golfers including the likes of current members Lee Westwood and Mark Foster, who both star on the pro circuit.

We played Worksop on Friday 6th June with our society, it was a last minute thing as we'd had problems with our other June booking. Luckily one of our socitiey members dad was a member and the course very kindly arranged three tee times for us. The deal we were given was absolutley fantastic and it just made the day even more enjoyable. The course is quite frankly superb in my opinion, the back nine I especially enjoyed set in woodland, so accuracy off the tee is important. There are also various holes with dog legs so your driver isn't always the best option off the tee. The general condition of the course was excellent and the greens were testing and true. Even at normal green fee rates this course is well worth the money and a pleasure to play. I was that impressed I enquired about membership. One of the best courses in the area, very accomodating, good value and an excellent round of golf. Brilliant !

its good enough for us! great course with fantatic greens. some holes are very tight and the driver needs to be left in the bag. on arriving at the club i must admit i wasn't expecting too much but as the course came into view and later unfolded i was very pleased with what ur society organiser had picked. friendly clubhouse and a great day enjoyed by all
