What we say

This hilly, picturesque layout is certainly different – it offers seven par-3s, including six in an amazing nine-hole stretch from the 5th with the 9th being a slightly uphill 238 yarder lined by trees and out-of-bounds!

There are three par-5s, but despite recent changes the layout still has a ‘fiddly’ feel about it – short walks from green to tee still remain as does the fear of being hit by a stray ball.

Rugby Golf Club is to be found over one mile north-east of Rugby town centre on the former B5414 Clifton Road. It has a long and interesting history after being founded in November 1890. The golf course demands accuracy but was designed in such a way that allows the high handicap golfer the opportunity to attempt all the holes in par, and the lower handicap golfer the challenge to break par.
