Sapey Golf Club

What we say

Sapey Golf Club is set high in the rolling hills of the Herefordshire and Worcestershire border. The very same countryside that inspired Elgar to such greatness. Wildlife abounds at Sapey, finding refuge in the surrounding woods, cornfields and pastures, all observed on high by our adopted family of buzzards.

If this is still not challenging enough then the 10,000 trees and shrubs will provide the sternest test. These were carefully selected as a combination of fast growing conifers and the more glamorous broad leaf variety. Now the stakes and free drops have become history, Sapey is becoming one of the most demanding, as well as beautiful, venues in the area.

  • 3 out of 5 Well worth a round

Booked our 2 fore 1 tee slot and arrived to be told that they had got the bookings wrong.  When we went to pay they told us it was £20 each and not the £16 that you would expect for a 2 for 1 voucher (Normally £32 a round). Luckily the group of 20 they had booked for our slot let us play through.  Nice course and very fast greens, the tee's aren't amazing but overall it's well worth a visit. Nice bar and staff, will visit again

  • 4 out of 5 Very enjoyable

Played using 2-Fore-1 (19.50) each. The course plays as two quite different 9's, the outward 9 basically go around the perimeter of the course with the back 9 all playing back inside. This means that anyone who playd with a strong fade (ahem slice) is likely to go OOB on the outward holes. The greens are very impressive a little tiddler can seemingly just run away from you, a very good test. Unfortunately the tees could do with a bit of work - there were a little sparse. There are a number of water features in play. The clubhouse was friendly and very good value. All in all a very enjoyable round and I expect to make regular trips to Sapey in the future.

Only £10 using 2-FORE!-1 vouchers. Extremely friendly staff, beautiful course, testing and in great condition. The best £10 worth in the Midlands, probably the Country!

  • 3 out of 5 Great Greens

Great course, lots of variation in the holes and the greens are some of the best i have played on. Shame the welcome in the clubhouse wasn't quite as good.
