Peover Golf Club

What we say

Peover is a challenging par 72 parkland golf course, covering 165 acres of varied terrain. The course is situated in picturesque surroundings where its fairways make the most of their natural features - the ponds and the Peover Eye river that runs through the course are havens for wildlife. However, attractive as they are, they have no respect for that wayward drive or misplaced approach play.

  • 5 out of 5 CLOSED

Unfortunately this lovely course has now closed and is now longer in use. Just one of the many courses that are closing all over the UK.

  • 3.5 out of 5 tricky

Peover Golf Course was tricky. Not long, not straight, relatively flat but short tricky holes. Although the Par 5’s where huge, the par 4's where all around 300-350 yards. Nothing was straight forward, which was good as I wasn't hitting straight on the day! The greens where slow but we had some persistent rain the week leading up to our round. The course was dry for the most part. My biggest issue was the lack of direction on the course. It is very intertwined and there was no map on the scorecard which we didn’t realize until the second tee. There are some tricky hazards that aren’t always visible which was annoying when I found them and didn’t know they were there. all in all, it was a good day and its definitely worth the money! Stunning clubhouse and some nice views.

  • 4 out of 5 Terrific day out

    By Nightowl

I turned up here on a whim and played in midweek and apart from a few ladies playing a comp well in front of me their was hardly anyone on the course. The course was enjoyable to play and my only criticism was lack of marker posts between greens and next tee
