Kendal Golf Club

What we say

Kendal Golf Club has an excellent reputation for the fine standard of its greens and fairways and the limestone drainage ensures it’s playable all year round. The golf course’s northern reaches are within the Lake District National Park so the views are breathtaking. The club is well over a century old but recent changes have seen the course lengthened to a par 70 and clubhouse refurbished.

There are four tricky par 3s on the front nine, but it’s the par-4 14th – intriguingly named Coffin Wood – which will almost certainly be the main cause for concern. It can be the death of a healthy scorecard!

Kendal celebrated its centenary in 1991 and has been at its present location for more than 10 years, having moved from 'The Old Racecourse' in 1896. Numerous improvements have been made over the years, the most recent being lengthening the golf course to a par 70 and a refurbished clubhouse.
