What we say
Links golf isn’t all about the superstars of St Andrews, Muirfield, Royal Birkdale and the other coastal superstars you know. It’s about unsung heroes like Seascale which provide all the drama and excitement offered by the above … but for considerably less money. Not the longest but, like so many old links, provides a severe test when the wind is blowing. That particularly applies to the more intriguing back nine which runs close to the sea with the demanding closing three capable of ruining many scorecards.
Seascale has been around since 1893 but is still a hidden links gem. You’ll find it on the west coast of Cumbria and this traditional but unfashionable links offers stunning Isle of Man, Scotland and Lake District views. Jointly created by Willie Campbell and George Lowe.
Founded in 1893, Seascale Golf Club is the creation of Willie Campbell and George Lowe. The traditional links course is situated on the west coast of Cumbria with views of the Isle of Man and Scotland to the west and the mountains of the Lake District to the east. Open all year round.

Seascale is in my opinion a superb course. It is may favourite links course and is excellent considering the price. The views out to sea are spoiled however by sellafield. My favourite hole at Seascale is the 10th, a great short par three with a small green beyond the beck. I would recommend Seascale to anyone.
Great course with great views of the lakeland fells. Only problem is Sellafield. Course is well looked after with a good mixture of holes. Worth 2 for 1 visit.
im a very good greenkeeper, don't u think this is the best course u hav ever seen?
