Sedbergh Golf Club

What we say

Sedbergh Golf Club is set in the heart of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales countryside and with the howgill fells forming a magnificent backdrop, the course has been described as one of the most scenic and tranquil in the north of England.

The layout makes the most of the naturally undulating parkland. With several tree- lined holes and fairways crossing or running alongside both rivers, the emphasis is placed upon accuracy, rather than distance. Well guarded USGA-spec greens and water features aplenty ensure that Sedburgh provides a test for all golfers.

A challenging ten hole course, set out and planned well to make for a great 18 holes overall. The greens are maintained to a high standard, as are the protective bunkers, ensuring some difficult approach shots. The terrain is varied with a number of water hazards and general parkland difficulties making for a thoroughly entertaining round of golf. I have just returned from a four ball round at Sedbergh and can't wait to return. The idyllic setting just makes it even more appealing and I would recommend this course to all golfers, of any standard, its a hidden gem.
