What we say

Set on the banks of both the Rivers of Wyre and Calder, this 18 hole parkland golf course was designed by Richard Bradbeer and measures 6050 yards with a par 68. The golf course provides an easier test on the outward nine, but the wheels can easily drop off on the inward nine where you'll be tackling some more challenging holes, including several lengthy par 4s.

Garstang lies In a picturesque location just to the north of Preston with excellent clubhouse and practice facilities and a functional proshop. Attractively priced and with little or no wait time, this is relatively straightforward parkland type course is not too demanding with minimal hazards. In this respect it is an enjoyable 18 for the mid to high handicapper. More serious players and low handicappers should look for a stiffer challenge elsewhere on Lancashires Golf Coast, although this will come at a much higher price. To summarise, Garstang represents great value for money golf with top notch facilities. Its definitely worth a visit and with a higher quality course, it would certainly attract many more golfing customers.
