Gathurst Golf Club

What we say

Situated in the picturesque Douglas Valley, but close to the major conurbations of the North West of England with easy access to the M6 motorway, The club has, over the last 15 years, developed into one of the most popular Courses in the area for members and visitors alike.

The course, with many challenging and interesting holes, is continually being enhanced to provide an enjoyable experience for golfers of all standards. Substantial improvements to the drainage system and irrigation systems now mean that the course is maintained in excellent condition and open for play when many other local courses are closed due to inclement weather.

Many visiting parties return to the club year after year to enjoy the golf course and the friendly reception from members and staff in the club house.

played Gathurst 27th March, it was extreemly windy and overcast. had a warm friendly welcome in pro shop and from members out on the course also. found the course to be in very very good condition for time of year and after all the rain. there are some callenging holes on the course and it is well set out. the greens ran true and were quite fast too. all in all a really enjoyable day out was had, 10/10 to Gathurst
