What we say

Established in 1996 Mossock Hall Golf Club is a par 71 course set in 130 acres of beautiful countryside on the Lancashire/Merseyside border. It is conveniently located close to the North West’s major road networks yet it maintains a peaceful tranquillity when out on the course.

The course is developing year after year with more strategically placed bunkers added to challenge golfers of all levels. Over 6000 trees have been planted since the course opened changing the character of the course as they mature.

The beautiful 18th century clubhouse has been refurbished maintaining many of its original features and offers a friendly relaxing atmosphere to enjoy a well deserved drink. There is a wide selection of quality food to enjoy from carefully selected menus. Members and visitors benefit from modern facilities including shower rooms a secure camera monitoring club store.

    Have played this course several times. It is a young-ish course that is maturing well. It drains well but what I like about it the most is that I use every club in the bag every time I play (Driver, 3-Wood, 2iron - lob wedge). A bad winter has affected the normally perfect greens. The only thing I don't like about this course is the wind. The yardages mean nothing when it blows.

    When they built the course, they put a quality drainage system in and reap the rewards of that now, as it is often the only club open in the area when the heavens open. Good, true greens mean you get a good roll on the ball and a variety of holes mean you will use every club in the bag. I did anyway. A fair course - miss the fairway by a few yards and you're either in a fairway bunker or playable rough, spray it and you'd better hit a good provisional.
