Ponteland Golf Club

What we say

A mature parkland course and although it’s on the site of an old school there’s not a hint of stuffiness here. Overall the course was in good shape though the greens were a tad slow when we visited. The fact that the course is close to Newcastle airport won’t spoil an enjoyable golfing outing either.

Established in 1927, this picturesque parkland course offers easy walking as well as a fair and memorable challenge to players of all abilities. The course has hosted many county events and also an English national tournament and is renowned for the quality of its fairways and greens.

Played this course a number of times when I'm in the vicinity and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it for a good day out.
