Commonly known as Cobble Hall, Leeds Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland golf course situated on the north side of Leeds. Founded in 1896, it is the home of golf's oldest professional tournament - the Leeds Cup.

First played for in 1902, holders of the trophy range from Harry Vardon to Howard Clark. With a prize fund of at least £20,000 the Leeds Cup will be one of the four 'Majors' on the PGA North Region circuit and features a strong field of competitors.

The golf course’s par of 69 is rarely beaten even in scratch competitions. Despite being only four miles from the centre of the city, the golf course has a distinctly rural feel. Visitors are warmly welcomed.

  • 4 out of 5 Very friendly club

    By Graham

We visited the club in mid-June and couldn't have been made more welcome. The catering was top notch both before and after our round. As for the course, it was in great condition and a joy to play. There are long par 4s, short par 4s and the same for the par 3s. In other words, something for everyone. There are plenty of interesting and challenging holes keeping all golfers suitably entertained. Highly recommended both on and off the course.

  • 4 out of 5 Really good condition

Played this course in October and was very impressed. Not a long course, but interesting and in good condition. A very attractive course with tree lined fairways. Understand there were some problems with finances a couple of years ago, but seems to be thriving now. Well worth a visit.

  • 3 out of 5 Good but not great

Good short course with some tight and interesting holes and was in great condition when we visited.
