Brighton & Hove Golf Club

What we say

It’s the oldest club in the county and is great fun and friendly – you’re guaranteed to receive a warm welcome. The downland course is 127 years old and is always in tip-top condition as a result of its fast-draining location high upon the Sussex Downs. However, it’s challenging too and you can’t afford to get too distracted by the stunning views across Brighton and the coast.

Brighton & Hove is a beautiful place to play golf. Set high on the Sussex Downs, the views are incredible.

The golf course itself offers a stiff challenge. Do not be fooled by the yardage, at just over 5,700 yards, it appears from the score card to be a relatively simple test. Nothing could be further from the truth. Sea breezes, rolling terrain and tricky greens all combine to make the golf course a true test of ability.

Length is required to reach some of the longer par 4’s, accuracy is required to deal with the tighter holes through the valley, and a solid short game is needed to cope with the perfectly true, but tricky greens. This golf course really will test all aspects of your game.

Lovely course, hard walk but well worth it just to play the 6 and 15 par 3's WOT a HOLE!
