What we say

The golf course which was established in 1887, is the second oldest in Surrey. Visitors should not be misled in any way by the par 68 on the scorecard since the 18 holes which meander through the picturesque tree lined countryside in Redhill, Surrey provide an interesting test of golf for even the top touring golf professionals. Many of our visitors return to better their last score!

Decided to visit this course today as I was told it was very friendly.....and yes it was. Problems only started on the 3rd Hole - my ball ended in the rough at the end of the fairway.....when I went to retrive it, had to avoid huge amounts of dog waste.  Found my ball - used my 7 iron...nice flight....into the mouth of a beautiful German Shepherd. Dog ran away with my ball and could not locate the owner before I decided to take a drop. 5th Hole - did a nice chip onto the green....a tiny dog decided to leap onto my balland run away with it, owner retrieved ball........ 6th Hold - 9ft putt.......nope......another small dog decided to jump on my ball. So LOTS of dogs on this course with no leads. Lots of joggers and walkers - really have to be alert. Have to cross a main road a few times - so most of the holes have the busy noise of traffic passing by. Basically not a relaxing peaceful course - would rec anyone to go to clubs like Shelsdon Manor as its around the same price.......but has PEACE and QUITE.
