  • 4 out of 5 Well established course, and well kept!

Greens are large to provide good test , with slopes that could leave some tricky pin positions. I can see the medal pins being tricky for some of the greens with accuracy being rewards. Bunkers were all well manicured, and athough the rough wasn't penal when you go too far off it could be a struggle to find your ball. The course uses the contours of the land to provide some testing shots, certainly worth the course guide to ensure you take the right strategy on some of the holes. Knowing your yardages for raised greens etc is good for this course, as you will find the designer has used the hills to his advantage. The course guide (or a good GPS) will tell you yardages to clear some of the water etc, and these are invaluable for the novice. The highlight for me was the 10th a well laid out hole with some great strategic thinking required. Great practice facilities. Range is well proportioned, and putting green big enough to cater for quite a few people. Bar area and restaurant provide great food and well attended by staff. I'd happily visit here again, hopefully to tame some of the holes that bit me last time.
