Golf at Goodwood – Park Course

What we say

Located next to Goodwood Hotel, the 6,650 yards par 72 course is 20-years-old and was designed by leading architect Donald Steel.

The course is impressively overlooked by towering 18th century cedars and boasts quality greens and tees as well as benefiting from being part of the stunning 12,000 acre Goodwood Estate, offering breathtaking Sussex countryside views.

Another Goodwood plus factor is the 19th hole which offers a stylish bar and grill and an extensive terraced area overlooking the final green.

Goodwood offers two superb golf courses - the Downs Course and the Park Course.

The Goodwood Park layout was designed in 1987 by renowned golf architect Donald Steele and lies within the parkland surrounding Goodwood House. Indeed the 6,650 par 72 course has been carefully designed to blend in with the splendid surroundings of the Estate.

I played The Park Golf Course last week and it was in exquisite condition! The greens were rolling beautifully, and the presentation of the fairways and rough was spot on. With the airfield nearby, we were lucky enough to have a few 'Spitfire' fighter planes fly over us, which are so rare i doubt i'll get the chance to see one again... In terms of its difficulty, it's a good test for every golfer, it's not too long, but it's not ridiculously narrow either. I'd definitely suggest this golf course to anyone in the South Coast. I'll be back!
