Hilton Puckrup Hall Hotel & Golf Club

What we say

There are a number of cleverly designed holes on this parkland layout – such as the short but tricky 17th which is well guarded by trees and water.

The thrilling par-5 5th involves a daunting tee shot with water seemingly everywhere and a small target to land your drive.

Set in 140 acres of undulating parkland, Hilton Puckrup Hall Hotel & Golf Club's golf course has many hazards that would not be found on similar aged golf courses. Each of the 18 holes is individually designed to give variety and offer a stern but fair test of golf. The greens are superb, build to USGA specifications, they are well protected but the surface is true and good putting is well rewarded.

Accommodation: The Hilton Puckrup Hall has its own 18-hole championship golf course and spa. You'll also find a LivingWell gym, pool, 16 meeting rooms and wireless internet access.

I found this course a little on the short side for me at 5901 yards i was able to make the some par 4s from the tee and most of them with just a 3 wood and a wedge. But in saying that the course is very much a risk and reward with plenty of bunkers in play around the greens.  I enjoyed the 3rd a par 4 dog leg left and the 5th a par 5 that can be done with 2 shots. The pars 3 are good the first is a tricky hole 115 yards but the is a big tree on the left of the green and broke at the front (i found the tree). I would play here again as i though it was a lot of fun.
