Sherborne Golf Club

What we say

This tree-lined layout uses the natural beauty of its surroundings to make 6,415 yards of golf that keep you interested from start to finish. The greens are fast – so a good short game and solid putting stroke are essential. But the practice range is a little basic and the welcome could be warmer.

The course was formed in 1894 as Blackmore Vale Golf Club. It was a nine hole course and shared its location with other "Commoners" and their assorted livestock. In 1936 James Braid was invited to design the 18 hole layout. It is situated in a stunning setting with majestic views over Blackmore Vale and plenty of green countryside. On the course, you can rest assured you are going to be presented with a whole host of challenges that virtually beg you to take them on.
