Burford Golf Club

What we say

A lovely old parkland layout – established since 1936 – with several tight driving holes, including a couple which are only a hook or slice away from a busy main road. Burford is flat and an easy walk, but accuracy off the tee is essential.

Designed by J. H. Turner, then the professional at Frilford Heath Golf Club, the first nine holes of the course opened for play in May of 1936. Early aerial photographs clearly show a course devoid of trees but members and visitors today see a course with tree-lined fairways that are always in good condition and a delight to play. Although the course is fairly flat and not long it does offer a comfortable round for golfers of all ages and handicaps.
