Durness Golf Club

What we say

The most northwesterly course in mainland Britain has just celebrated its 25th anniversary, having been designed by a trio of members.

All nine holes offer different challenges and views, finishing in style with a classic par-3 over the frothing Atlantic below.

Durness Golf Course was founded in 1988 following many years of planning and hard work by local enthusiasts.

It was designed by three members Francis Keith, Lachlan Ross and Ian Morrison and has received many acclaims, one from none other than TV personality and golf course designer Peter Alliss who considered it unique enough to include in his TV series “Travels with Alliss.”

It is also featured in the book “Scotland's Gems” by Malcolm Campbell and most people who play Durness would agree it is a gem.
