Newport Links Golf Club & Resort

What we say

This little-known layout, originally a nine-holer designed by James Braid in 1925, was extended to a full 18-hole par 71 six years ago and is a good spot to stay and play. The venue’s excellent facilities include a driving range and four star on-site accommodation.

Your Reviews

  • 4 out of 5 Wonderful setting

    By Chewie

It would be hard to find a more wonderful setting for a golf course. The course was extended recently to 18 holes, having played for many years as nine. The front nine is set on land above the clubhouse and has sloping fairways, gorse and strategic bunkering. The back nine is the original course and has fantastic views of Newport bay and a number of holes are set in and around the sand dunes. The signature hole is the 16th par 3 where you T off across the dunes to a really tight green. Distance is not the issue on this course but when the wind is blowing (as it often is) it is a stern challenge. Really nice clubhouse for drinks and meals and a well stocked professionals shop.
