Langland Bay Golf Club

What we say

By actress Catherine Zeta Jones: Langland Bay Golf Club is a lovely course with smashing views and the people are very friendly and let me get on with my game without any fuss. We’ve bought a property nearby, but unfortunately because of my work and commitments I don’t play the golf course often enough.

Langland Bay Golf Club was formed in 1904 and is predominantly meadowland, being located between the bays of Langland and Caswell on the Gower Peninsular – Britain’s first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You’re blessed with fantastic vistas, especially from the 8th hole, a shortish par 4 designed by James Braid.

Accommodation: Dragon Hotel in Swansea and The Little Langland, a small hotel close to the golf course.

Played this course in April and the day was fantastic - sun and some wind, perfect for the location.  As I arrived by chance, the course was busy with a ladies comp in the afternoon looming.  The pro and secretary really helped squeeze me in and i played with 3 other local visitors.  Course was interesting and needed thinking caps on! Views were stunning over the headland to the beaches - WELL worth a visit.

Whilst the views may be superb from a few holes the course is to small for a full 18 hole course. The fairways crossover each other making it treacherous on a busy day. Poor greens and a begrudging welcome means that you are better off spending your green fee elsewhere.
