What we say...

Technology
Mizuno’s D201 ball has a revolutionary ‘intelligent’ Cavity Cross Core, which reduces driver spin without impacting control on short shots. The Cross Core’s unique energy harnessing design and secure cover bonding also converts clubhead momentum into higher initial ball speeds for greater distance on all types of full shot. The ball also features a seamless 366 dimple design that complements the core’s flight stability for maximum hang time, while responsive feel and short game control is provided through a soft Ionomer cover.

Tested
As reviewed in our Balls Test 2014
High spin on full wedge and iron shots, but as the shots got shorter, the levels of spin reduced. Felt and performed like a distance ball – low driver spin and a clicky sound and feel around the green with limited stopping power. Sounds and feels hard. There was a little bit of spin there and the driver performance was impressive.

As reviewed in our Balls Test 2013: Very high spin with a full wedge, flight was high. Came off high and fast on pitches, needed a crisp strike. Surprisingly soft feel given it sounds hard. Got some real zip from the sand, great option for the price. Got some good numbers, solid ball a touch light on distance.
