Technology
This three-piece ball is designed to improve performance in the area amateur golfers (where the ‘a’ in the name stems from) need it most – into and around the green.

Amateur golfers tend to generate less spin than Tour players, so TaylorMade’s softest and most durable urethane cover to date provides a soft feel and added spin. The Project (a) golf ball has been designed by TaylorMade engineers for competitive mid-handicappers who need more approach-shot spin.

Project (a) is long off every club and feels great. Best of all, it helps you generate the extra spin you need to stop the ball closer to the hole, leaving you shorter putts to promote lower scores.

Project (a)’s game-changing spin comes from SOFT TECH™- TaylorMade’s new cast urethane cover that’s specially formulated to be soft, durable, and very responsive.

Tested
As reviewed in our Balls Test:
Very high spin levels for a mid-range ball, soft feel inspires confidence that the ball will behave.

Very grippy. Balls really check up on the second bounce with a low flight. Loads of spin greenside, even from rough and shots not struck purely.

Taylormade Balls User Reviews

  • 5 out of 5 Great Value

    By Darlo_Golfer

Picked these up for £19.99 after getting the priced matched by American Golf. Usually i don't change my mind on equipment, however, after comparing these to my Callaway Chrome Soft balls I can safely say the Project (a) are a better ball around the green and are better priced for the performance. I did feel like I lost distance off the tee, but that could be down to easing off on my swing so i didn't drop one into the water. Overall the best ball i have used, maybe a contender to Callaways mid range crown.

I have been playing ProV1 for years. Distance and spin are nearly identical. Really appreciated this ball when I lost it...saved $1.50.

  • 4 out of 5 Good ball

I got these on a free offer (had to pay P&P) and used them over the weekend. they feel soft of the club face, had a consistent flight and responded well when putting. not sure about the claim to be long off every club as I didn't notice much difference over my regular ball, the Srixon soft feel.
