Technology

TaylorMade XD Golf Balls gives explosive distance. Taylormade’s new blend of dimple sizes, edges and depths together promote more lift on off-centre hits.

It has an expanded sweetspot – LDP forgives off-centre hits by delivering added lift to keep the ball airborne; effectively expanding the sweetspot.

It also promotes an improved distance – Balls With LDP boast improved distance on the most common driver off-centre hits compared to balls without LDP

The secret to the XD golf ball is TaylorMade’s phenomenal V-Core (Velocity Core), which explodes off the clubface for incredible distance. the Low Drag Performance (LDP) technology keeps the ball in the air longer by delivering added lift to keep the ball airborne; effectively expanding the sweetspot.

The ball has a special ‘Iothane’ cover adds a touch of feel to ensure the XD is great around green as well as long off the tee.

Tested

A great ball for distance and the chances are you will pick up a few yards but it may come at the expense of control, especially from 100 yards in.

The XD deliver distance but are firm and hard to control.

Taylormade Balls User Reviews

  • 3 out of 5 Hard but usable

    By Graham Shipman

These are your typical bottom of the range balls, similar to Callaway Warbirds, they are quite hard for all shots and make putting a little hit and miss as they can race across the green without you meaning to hit them so hard.
