The Benross executives must have gone nuts! Offering a three-year waterproof guarantee on a golf suit that only costs £120? That’s what we call value for money. It’s not as stylish as some, and you won’t find it in every colour under the sun, but attention has been paid to small details that can really make a difference.

Decent leg zips, which run to just below the knee, mean you’ll have no hassle getting the trousers on in a hurry. Convenient Velcro body and cuff flaps let you adjust the fit to suit your taste, and the whole suit is decked out with waterproof zips – a bonus over some more expensive golf suits.

We accept that the Benross Extreme golf waterproofs won’t be quite as breathable as a full Gore-Tex model, but it does

fold down small, it is just as comfortable as more pricey golf suits, it would serve club golfers well, and it is worth every penny.
