What we say...
Stuburt can trace its roots all the way back to 1908. It started out as a shoe manufacturer, but it has now branched out into high-performance clothing and waterproofs.
It’s no surprise, then, that the Liquicell is a decent alternative to the major brand names we are more accustomed to. The lightweight jacket is soft and remarkably quiet, which is just what the serious golfer is looking for. Sizing is generous and details – such as a back cut lower than the front (to keep the back dry and warm when bending over) and the upside-down zip that helps to make the zip less prone to leakage – are all features of a company right on top of its game.
When combined together, the entire suit is a little bulkier than some of the others tested here, so you may struggle to get both into the smallest pocket of a golf bag. But when you consider the price, this is a great suit that is perfect for the everyday golfer.
