What we say...

Update: March 2014 – Now with innovative Quickfold mechanism. Features a sliding catch that activates the mechanism and locks the trolley once it’s up or down and takes no more than five seconds to do.

The S1 Pro has a USB charging port plus easy-to-use Adjustable Distance Control (ADC) which sends the trolley on a choice of three distances.

What we like

We think the funky new styling looks even more sleek and modern than the S1 digital. They have also replaced the handle – which is now more comfortable – and the speed dial is a lot more robust than it was previously. Like the S1 Digital the S1 Pro is extremely easy to use and we very rarely hear of reliability issues with Motocaddy trolleys. We also like the functions, such as distance control and battery charge indicator.

There are a good number of battery options but without a doubt our favourite is the lithium offering. Not only is it extremely lightweight but it sits neatly in the tray and even allows the trolley to be folded with the battery in situ. Lastly, it locks in place when folded so it is easy to carry around.

What we don’t like

As usual with Motocaddy there is very little. The S1 Pro comes at a decent price, performs well and is very functional . If we had to pinpoint anything, it would be on
the speed dial, which is a little sensitive if travelling over rough ground. Sometimes we found we jumped up two speed settings instead of one. There are easier folding mechanisms too.

TG Verdict

This sits perfectly in the Motocaddy range between the S1 Digital and the S3 Pro to offer a great blend of functionality and value for money. A top-notch product which you wouldn’t be disappointed with if you bought one.

Got this trolley as a Christmas present. My first electric trolley. It is fantastic, so easy to set up and use. The 9 speed settings, with half settings, allow a wide range of speeds to cover all terrains. The addition of the USB port allows a variety of devices to be connected and charged if needed.
