What we say...

What’s the score?
The Trojan 250 Sport comes from PowerPro Golf, and at under £200 for a 27- hole battery this is a solid package for the money. PowerPro say it’s “designed with a strong emphasis on quality components and reliability, backed by a long warranty”. This is two years for parts and labour which is highly impressive at this price point.

What do we think?
Hmm, as the company hints themselves, this is very much not state-of-the-art but for the price point it’s competing with what we think this is a pretty sound trolley. It is a bit ‘old-school’ – the trolley is controlled by a single on/off switch with variable speed control and there is nothing Fancy Dan about it. In terms of features, there is very little to write about; but as the recession takes hold, trolleys like this should become more and more popular. And, the two-year warranty makes it incredible value for money. Like many of the others on test it fitted comfortably into the boot of a Ford Focus.

I read the TG review and, actually, I like the simplicity of the trolley. It is easy to use and there is very little to go wrong! The trolley is sturdy and well built but is also light and easy to handle. There are no fancy gizmos, but who uses them anyway? It was a great buy - I bought it 2 years ago and it has never let me down. I play several times a week and am a single-figure golfer, so reliability is important. Also, I got a 27 hole battery which, believe it or not, has managed 36 holes on several occasions! I can't fault it and would recommend it to anyone. The 2 year warranty attracted me to the trolley, but I have never needed it. For the £190 I paid it is one of my best golfing buys.
